Members of this spiritual community made up of people from all walks of life; married, single, priest, religious, doctor, lawyer, teacher, student, etc., are called to pray and make sacrifices with the main intention of these being for the youth and children of the world. We are called upon to grow in holiness, go to confession often for a continued growth in the spirit, live a life with the Holy Eucharist at its center (Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
and frequent reception of the Eucharist in Holy Communion) prayer everyday and a strong and healthy devotion to Mary, our Blessed Mother, as she leads us to a closer and deeper relationship with her Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ. Members of the Spiritual Community of the Missionaries of the Two Hearts undertake to:

1) Fast - To Fast on bread and water or by giving up something we enjoy, for example; TV, music, smoking, etc. For one day each week. If you are fasting on bread and water throughout the day, then after 6pm you can/should possibly have a bowl of soup or something lite to eat.

2) To pray the Chaplet of Mercy (Divine Mercy Chaplet) and the Chaplet of Innocents, everyday. The Chaplet of Mercy is prayed to assist, in grace, the youth and children of the world and in reparation for those who are causing the innocents to suffer. The Chaplet of Innocents is prayed to assist, through grace, the innocents in all their endeavors and sufferings and for their protection.

3) To pray the entire ‘Rosary of the Innocents’, once each week - Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries; that is meditating on the mysteries of the rosary using the meditations regarding the youth and children of the world.

4) Eucharist - When we receive the Holy Eucharist a prayer of love should be made intensely, toward the hearts of Jesus and Mary - in reparation for sins against all the innocents, for grace to fill their lives and for all the strength and support of those children who are sick and dying. ‘Sunday’ Mass is a must for all Catholics and, if it is possible, a Missionary of the Two Hearts should try to attend Mass more then this one time per week - for strength in our own lives to grow in holiness and also to lift up, with love, more prayer for the sake of the youth and children of the world.

5) 5 (five) Hours of Eucharistic Adoration be made each month - In honor of the 5 wounds of our Lord. During some of this time (5 hours) the sufferings of our Lord should be meditated on in direct connection with the sufferings of the youth and children of the world, caused by abuse, neglect abandonment and sickness. Like Mary, underneath the Cross, we come before our Lord, TRULY present in the Blessed Sacrament, to pray for all the youth and children of the world.

6) Silence - members will be silent for 3 hours each week (no speaking - no watching TV, listening to the radio or CD/Tape) - silence inside and outside - all around us silence, to the degree that we can control. The 3 hours of silence are in honor of the 3 persons of the Holy Spirit - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In reparation for the impure and often violent and cruel words that are spoken near or to the innocent youth and children of the world, (the 3 hours can be broken up in only 2 ways - either 3 hours in one day or 1 hour for 3 separate days, but the one hour must be done entirely, not broken up in 10, 20 or 30 minute increments). During this hour, to the best of our ability, we should contemplate the words of scripture, “and Mary pondered these things in her heart”, thanking God for the many graces He has given us and contemplating the gift that are the youth and children of the world.

7) Action - members will act charitably and with great love toward all youth and children - using the gifts and talents that God has given us. We do this because it is a command of Christ's, “do unto others as you would have them do to you” and in reparation for all the physical and emotional abuses against the innocents.

8) Purity - members will undertake to be pure in all thoughts and actions - in word and in deed with heart, mind, voice, hands and eyes - everyday - according to their state in life: married, single, priest or religious - in reparation for all the sins of impurity against the youth and children of the world and for the scandalizing of the innocents - and in reparation for the great horrors of the selling of the innocents into prostitution and all forms of child
pornography.

9) Medal of the Missionaries of the Two Hearts - members will wear the medal of the spiritual community as a sign to others and a reminder of their love for Jesus and Mary.
