The Short Form of Enrollment  for The Brown Scapular

Many people have asked me for the short form of enrollment.  In order to
receive the full benefits and graces that are attached to the wearing of the
Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, a person must first be enrolled
properly by a Catholic priest.

If you are middle aged and over about 45 plus, then you were enrolled when
you made your Fist Holy Communion.  This was part of the First Holy Communion
ceremony back then, but unfortunately they did away with the enrollment in
many areas.

Therefore the children of today, and many young adults were never
enrolled, and therefore do not receive the graces and benefits that are attached to
the wearing of the Brown Scapular.

The children today are just simply handed a brown scapular at their First
Holy Communion, but they are not enrolled.

Anyone can be enrolled with the help of a Catholic Priest.  I had infants
enrolled, as well as adults.

First you must make an appointment with a priest for the enrollment and
bring a brown scapular for each person being enrolled, as well as this short
form, since some priests may not be familiar with this, especially if they are
young.

Are you ready to receive greater protection from Heaven, well here it is.

SHORT FORM OF BLESSING AND CLOTHING WITH THE SCAPULAR
OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY OF MOUNT CARMEL

THE PERSON WHO IS TO RECEIVE THE HABIT KNEELS AND THE PRIEST, VESTED IN
SURPLICE AND WHITE STOLE, SAYS:

   V.  Show us, O Lord, your mercy.

    R.  And grant us your salvation.

    V.  O Lord, hear my prayer.

    R.  And let my cry come to you.

    V.  The Lord be with you.

    R.  And with your spirit.

Let us pray. O Lord Jesus Christ, Savior of mankind, by your right hand
sanctify ( priest blesses the scapular with the sign of the cross)  this
scapular which your servant will devotedly wear for the love of you and of your
Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel. By her intercession, may he (she)
be protected from the wickedness of the enemy and presevere in your grace
until death. You who live and reign for ever and ever.

  R.  Amen.

Then the priest sprinkles the scapular with the holy water and imposes it
upon the person( or  upon each person ) , saying:

Receive this blessed scapular and ask the most holy Virgin that, by her
merits, it may be worn with no stain of sin and may protect you from all harm
and bring you into everlasting life.

R.  Amen.

   After this the priest adds:

By  the power granted to me, I admit you to a share in all the spiritual
works performed with the merciful help of Jesus Christ by the religious of
Mount Carmel. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
(Make the sign of the cross)

  R.  Amen.

May almighty God, Creator of heaven and earth, bless ( make the sign of
the cross)  you whom he has been pleased to receive into Confraternity of the
Blessed Virgin  Mary of Mount Carmel. We beg her to crush the head of the
ancient serpent in the hour of your death and to obtain for you the palm and the
crown of your everlasting inheritance. Through Christ our Lord.

   R. Amen.

The priest sprinkles the person with holy water. If there are several
persons to be received together, the prayers are said in the plural.

If the scapular is to be blessed alone, then the blessing begins with V.
Show us, O Lord, your mercy, and concludes with the prayer, O Lord Jesus Christ.

PS.  After the enrollment the scapular only has to be blessed once at the
ceremony, if it wears out, then another one can be replaced but it does not
have to be reblessed, since the blessing is automatticly transferred.

If you are not sure if you were enrolled then you can be reenrolled, it
does not hurt.
